Fran Leonard GAA Tournament

On Sunday 22nd of November the Fran Leonard Tournament saw the Erins Isle GAA under 10s and Intermediate Team take on O’Dwyers GAA. The tournament was created in memory of Fran Leonard who died suddenly while playing for the Erins Isle Intermediate team 3 years ago.

Marie Greene, Co-Founder of CRY was at the trophy presentation where she highlighted the never ending work that CRY does to save lives in Ireland every day. She also spoke of the importance of fundraising before presenting cups to both the captain of the under 10s and the captain of the intermediate team.

Erin’s Isle GAA Club are committed to raising awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Senior Camomile team are to take part in the 2010 Mini Marathon in aid of CRY while the Intermediate Football Squad will be taking part at Triathlon also to raise funds for the charity.
