Bandon Rotary Annual Golf Event

For the fourth year running Bandon Rotary donated some of the proceeds from their Annual Golf AM-AM to CRY.   A total of €750.00 was received.  This was the 26th Bandon Rotary Golf AM-AM and when presenting the monies they commented that they were deeply aware and appreciative of the screening carried out by CRY on families at risk whilst receiving no government funding.  The Club told CRY they were delighted to be in a position to support the Charity.

Phil Murphy, Bandon chartered accountant initially suggested CRY having heard of the charity through a local GP, Dr. Fionnuala Quigley – Fionnuala is a trustee of CRY and following the tragic loss of Phil’s niece Orlaith Murphy who died suddenly aged 15 in 2005.  Subsequently  Phil participated in the 2008 Cork City Marathon with his friend Robert Merrick  helping CRY to raise awareness and funds at this event also.

We are very grateful to the Bandon Rotary and Phil Murphy for their kind donation.
