On the 20th of December 2006, a young local man from Mount Temple passed away due to sudden death. He was a good friend to many of the local people and is deeply missed by all. Last year a group of local people ranging in the ages from 15 to 50 joined together and participated in the TriAthlone. We decided to raise money for CRY- Cardiac Risk in the Young as it was a charity that a lot of us could relate to due to the loss of our good friend. Last year we raised over 2,500euro for the charity. This year we have decided to take part in the massive event again on the 18th of July. Our Mount Temple team has grown and we now have over 30 people participating from our local village for CRY. We hope, this year, that we can raise twice as much for CRY and we are all very excited to take part in this year’s TriAthlone.
