Supporting CRY in your Will

It goes without saying that your loved ones come first when you make your will. In saying that, a gift left in your will to a charity is a means of giving something back and is a way of remembering the people and the causes that you care about.

By giving a small gift in your will to CRY, this will ensure that vital services are provided to families throughout Ireland who have lost someone to Sudden Cardiac Death. It will also help us to reduce the deaths going forward from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.

There are four ways in which you can make a bequest to CRY:

• As a gift of a specific amount of money - known as a pecuniary.
• As a gift of a specific item - known as a legacy.
• As a gift of the rest of your assets that you have not already given away - known as a residuary bequest.
• If you have already made a will and you wish to give a gift to CRY, you will need to prepare a new will, or ask your solicitor to add a codicil (addition) in a similar way to the original will, which should be kept in the same place as the original will.
